Ducharme’s Design Process
Onboarding
Step 1: Review Services
Review Ducharme’s Tiered Services as well as Consultation Packages to determine which you think might be the best fit for you. We will adjust as necessary as your design needs become more defined.
Step 2: Reach Out
Book Your Consultation Call
This free 20 min call is an introduction for both parties. We’ll spend the first half exploring who you are, your project needs, and your goals for hiring an interior designer. Then in return, we spend the second half telling you about ourselves, our experience, and how far out our project timeline is.
Fill Out Our Questionnaire
By filling out our questionnaire, you help us better understand your project, style & level of design services needed. The more specific you are in this questionnaire, the better we will understand your needs and desires, and the better your outcome will be when your design is complete.
Step 3: Consultation
One hour onsite meeting to review questionnaire, discuss scope of project, tour the space & discuss process.

E-Design Tier
The definition of a “modern” space is highly dependent on the person using the term. As such, the idiom “a picture is worth a 1000 words” remains true. Saved photos are a great way to show us your style as it relates to interiors. If you have a Pinterest or Houzz board please email a link or invite us to collaborate. If you have boards related to fashion, send those as well! We love seeing what colors & patterns you feel your best in!
Step 4: Share Your Inspirations
Step 5: Purchase Your Design Package
After a full assessment of your project & tier of service required, we will send you a scope of work & proposal. This design fee is estimated based on the number of hours we believe your project will take us to complete. After payment & your signed Letter of Acceptance are received, your design can begin!
Design-Order-Install
Phase I: Design
For Full Service Design, there is an on-site meeting with design team for measurements, planning and brain-storming. This may or may not occur at the consultation meeting. For Comprehensive Design, measurements may be provided by the client or taken by the design team. E-Design clients always provide their own measurements and basic floor plan as part of the onboarding process.
Step 1: Site measurement & Planning
Step 2: Conceptual Design
A mood board is created to spring board the design process.
Step 3: Design Development
This step is the initial curation of your design where we floor plan & begin sourcing products.
This appointment serves to present the full overview of design with product quotes. Deliverables such as floor plans, elevations, & 3D renderings are scaled to the level of tiered service purchased initially by the client.
Step 4: Presentation
Step 4: Revisions
Time is allotted for one round of revisions discussed at design presentation.
Phase II: Product
Step 1: Order
For Full Service Design, all ordering, shipping/receiving, and claims are handled by the design team. For E-Design, a product list with affiliate links are sent to the client to purchase on their own. Comprehensive Design is a combination of the two with the design team doing the large portion of the ordering, but the client in charge of receiving and initiating any necessary claims.
Phase III: Install
For Full Service Design, our team will arrive with a white glove delivery service for an HGTV style reveal! You don’t lift a finger! For Comprehensive Design, a block of hours can be purchased separately from their initial package if installation & styling is desired. E-Design clients are responsible for all aspects of install themselves.
Step 1: Installation, Reveal, & Walk-through
Step 2: Final Adjustments
For Full Service Design, any deficiencies noted at walk- through will be handled by the design team. Comprehensive Design clients with have moderate level of this service, and E-Design clients will be responsible for working through installation issues themselves.
Step 3: Project Closure & Photography
For Full Service & Comprehensive Design tiers, professional photography is scheduled and any warranty information is submitted.
